Abby Collins'
Journey Home

Wanting to get into the market quickly, Abby used her deposit to buy a self described sh*tter that needed almost a complete reno. See how it went…

Chapter 1.

With a deposit already saved, Abby thought it was best to get in the market earlier rather than trying to find the absolute perfect property. Luckily for her the buying process went pretty quick, and the property was also far from perfect!

Chapter 2.

Having a commission only job meant that Abby had to stay disciplined when saving her deposit. Allocating 20% of each pay check to her deposit account was her rule, and she stuck to it consistently.

Chapter 3.

The house needed…. a lot of work.

Abby was able to see the potentially lying beneath the surface including the ability to split the large main bathroom into a regular sized bathroom and an ensuite which immediately added value.

Chapter 4.

Abby and her Dad rolled up their sleeves and started the reno. But realising she didn’t want to put lipstick on a pig, she eventually brought in experts to ensure the finished product was fit for purpose.

Chapter 5.

There were a lot of hoops to jump through getting the mortgage on the property, but luckily for Abby, Josh was able to help her throughout the process.
